I believe this quote is our credo to how we act on deviantArt; I love how this place works with people showcasing their own creativity and how we can make friends with people from all over the world and share a universal passion for art and design. I believe I share love of art by commenting as much as possible, even if it's just a simple "Oh that's amazing" I feel this is enough to show the artist that I care about their work and that I love their work. If there is a deviation which I don't like I never comment saying things like "This is terrible, remove it off dA now!" because I'm just not that type of person.
Over the past few years on deviantArt I have found many deviants who submit art and never seem to reply to comments. Their art might be amazing but with 50 comments and no replies this tells me that the artist doesn't give a damn about this place. I don't hate these people, I just don't understand why they seem to think they can bask in hundreds of compliments of messages and never reply to a single one. If you're busy then tell us through journals, if you know you're not going to reply at all then disable comments on your deviation submission - don't leave thousands of deviants wasting their time commenting on work that you're not going to even read.

As I reiterate, I don't hate these people I just think they need to realise that there are lots of people out there who wait for replies from their comments. I for one never allow a message to go without a reply - I always make sure I say "Thank you" or "You're welcome". One thing I have found is that the majority of people who never reply to comments don't even say thanks if you add them to your watch-list.

The perfect deviant for this site is YOU! Yes, you who is reading this right now, you're taking the time to understand what I'm talking about, you spend time on this site searching for art and commenting/faving. It is you who is keeping the site alive with joy and I want to thank you all!
