Hello all,
My second year of Uni has finished and all the stresses of coursework and tests are finally over for now. I resumed GM Macro bsns a few days ago and I've been organising quite a few DD suggestions, notes and replying to the thousands of messages (some dating back to March) so please bear with me whilst I catch up. I've been saving up for two lenses to add to my 450D, the Canon 50mm f/1.8 and the Canon 60mm f/2.8. As a student I'm strapped for cash so I can only afford the lower-cost lenses so I bought the Canon 50mm for portraits yesterday and now I'm not sure whether to continue saving up for the 60mm or just buy the three set Kenko extension tubes. Do you have any suggestions which I should go for if you have either one of them, or both? Your help is greatly appreciated.
Yesterday I went out with some of my Uni mates to the London IMAX to see Star Trek, and all I can say is WOW!!!! Even if you're not a Star Trek fan, you will love this film!

Here are some photos I've come across whilst browsing the dA galleries, enjoy your week all and chat to you soon!

Life is as brief as a butterfly's fart.
I also just got a Sigma 105mm f2.8 macro. The advantage to that is that I can get 1:1 from almost a foot away from the subject. This helps lighting a bit.
Either way you'll probably get good shots, but I like the macro lens better. It's more convenient.
Good luck!
