Hey all!

So, yesterday I submitted a poll Do you think water drop photography is overused?. And your opinions have been awesome! I think it's important to get the perspective of the community, especially when it comes to art in specific galleries. Over the past few months I've had people complaining and praising water drop photography so I thought it would be cool to make a poll about it.

One thing which has impressed me was the fact that the majority of the comments are based on what I believe - the idea of water drops might be overused but to put your own unique talent and creativity into the photo is what makes it different from the rest. Many people (over 55% from the poll) think it is overused, but the difference between just a photo of a water drop and art is the fact that you try to make your piece unique so when thousands of people browse around the Macro gallery each day they notice your work. I will be making more polls here and in forums in the future and I encourage you to participate! :thumbsup:

London DevMeet - Saturday 21st March 2009
greenie is planning a DevMeet in London on Saturday 21st March, and some of the places we're going to visit include The Photographers Gallery, The Animation Factory, Tate Modern and the British Museum. There are around 24 already confirmed (including me) and it would be totally awesome if you could come along if you live close to London. I know we all have busy lives outside of dA (tell me about it) but it would be cool to meet up with other deviants and chillax around London and do what we do best - make Art!

APN Daily Deviations
If you look around the APN>Flowers and Plants gallery you'll find many deviations which are macro. I'm happy for you to suggest me DDs from the APN gallery as long as the deviation is a macro and is exceptional. I will only be featuring work from outside the macro gallery once or twice per month, but obviously many deviations are missing out on the DD feature when they're technically entitled to them - I await your DD suggestions!


Flashers "Beat Em Up" Challenge
Details on the first 2 week long Flashers Challenge. To design and animate a character for a 2D fighting game. The winner of each fortnight's Challenge will recieve a three month sub, a journal feature from Chris-Bowman, Age2003 and flashers, at the very least. You will also have you and your work featured in the all new monthly news articles we will be creating simply to showcase the winners and select pieces from their gallery, bringing your entry and that of the runners-up to the attention of the whole site! i really couldn't get to what the Gallery Moderator for Macro Photography, i mean dear You, are giving service and also to only whom ?! Is it the target to eliminate to the beginners ? How can a beginner be a master before not being a beginner ? How a beginner will test his/her photos and find chance to improve himself/herself and how.. and how.. ?
You would do the poll by using thin lines to avoid to hurt your readers!
Anyway, i don't want your head has a headache by my long sayings.
Final of me is: i would expect to get a reply to my comment which i sent to your poll. What a kindness !!
