Velvet

I really like the focus of this shot. Many other artists and photographers would have gone for a shallow depth of field, but I think that the middle focus is quite effective in this photograph.

The light reflected from the water on the petals that are out of focus make for some nice light points in the frame. The slight yellow colour on the very tips of the petals also add interest in the bottom left of the composition.

I think there could have been slightly less water droplets on the petal that is in focus, as this makes it feel a little too crowded, as well as drawing attention away from the lovely deep red of the petals.
