Description

I am really happy with this piece; I love the minimalist feel to it, and also in a way it's very Zen. :D

Enjoy! :D

This photo definitely deserves all the faves it's received and more.
It's so simple and relaxing { not just because I love the colour green }
The blades of grass are so softly and gently blurred in all the right spots; it's smooth and almost silk-like but not quite there { that being a good thing }. The empty space above just makes it so lovely and amasing. It's such a simple photo but it's so worth the looks. It's very even and not centered { I believe that if it were centered it wouldn't be as interesting } I love how the blades of grass each serve a purpose: the one at the bottom, it's straight, like a whispy motion blur of action. the middle one is neatly curved and twirling, like a ribbon. The one{s} above, similar to the bottom blade, it's straight and motion blurred { or so it seems } but has more yellow tones in it than green as the bottom blade does.
If I saw this in a gallery, I would for sure stop and stare at it; I wish I could take a photo like this { it just never turns out right xD }

Of course, to explain my rating on 'originality' and 'technique'. Water droplets are very common to photograph. I normally see the water on feathers and/or around glitter with lots of bokeh. 4 stars of originality because of how simple and soft you kept it. Water doesn't need bokeh. The reflection a single drop can show is all it needs. They're all beautiful, but some such as this one you captured here, are more beautiful than others. This is just appeasing to the eye.

Now for the water drop. It's soooooooo soft and smooth. It's like a feather melted into a single drop. I don't even know if that makes sense. but it works and it's gorgeous. Referring back to the negative space that makes the image more complete, the water greatly catches the reflection and of course, flips it, giving that empty space more meaning, even some more light. The water is better off on its own, as-is. It compliments itself.
